Many users were pleasantly surprised when they found a “making of” video for the Nokia Lumia 800 on the Nokia official blog. The device is not released yet, but it is already very popular and many people are anxious to get their hands on it. The video is 8 minutes in length and features an interview with Stefan Pannenbecker, vice-president of Industrial Design.
The video shows the entire process of making the phone from the choosing of the polycarbonate monobody to the end. The video also shows different models of the Lumia 800 made out of other materials.
The video makes us wonder if the Nokia N9 or Lumia 800 were first thought of. The N9 was presented first and its design was marvelous, but when we watch the video of the Lumia 800 we get the feeling that the Nokia design crew didn’t use the N9 as an inspiration for the Lumia 800.
