If you are among those who are thinking of switching onto Windows Phone platform from Android or iOS, then this piece of news might excite you.
Microsoft is developing a new service for the new Windows Phone users, using which they can transfer all the apps, present in their existing Android or iOS device, to a new Windows Phone device. Sounds great, isn’t it?
This is how it works: as per a patent filed by Microsoft in 2010, an outlined tool analyzes the apps present in your existing Android device of iPhone, find the exact or similar apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace and downloads them for you in your new Windows Phone device. In case, an app or its equivalent isn’t available in the marketplace, it notifies you when the app comes up in the market sooner or later.
Otherwise, every mobile company locks you in their own platform and you got to start downloading all the apps all over again in your new handset. Probably, Microsoft is well aware of this issue faced by many and they’re working on such a service to make the shift towards WP platform quite convenient.
This is a common problem faced by almost everyone when they shift to a new OS. Probably, Microsoft is all set to give everyone another reason to buy a Windows Phone device.
