Call it the long back impression of Nokia or the success of the collaboration, but the Windows Mobile platform has finally got a perfect launch pad. With Windows Mobile 8 coming very soon, expectations are high and with the pre-polls going around the world, the success seems certain. This time, it’s the hometown, Finland where the success notes are high. According to a recent survey by Finnish Aalto University, more of Finnish developers are aiming to develop for Windows Phone than Android and IOS. The numbers are standing at 34% for WP, 33.4 percent for Android and 24.3 percent IOS. The reason may be twofold; either the success of Windows Phone or due to a common platform between Windows 8 and Windows Phone. “They’re not making the next Angry Birds, but there are a lot of these small business-to-business firms that have been able to sell this software to small manufacturing plants perhaps. And they think, OK, it works on Windows, so why don’t we try it a mobile version of this,” according to BIT Research Centre’s researcher Juhana Peltonen.
Let’s see if these pre-match clouds will rain during the game or pass away silently.
